JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating after a 68-year-old woman was shot and killed.

The shooting occurred in the 3800 block of Meadow Lane around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22.

Detective Tommie Brown said the victim, Thelma Wright, 68, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.

According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, an arrested warrant has been issued for Devin Nichols, 15. He is wanted for murder.
