JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police arrested a woman in connection to the shooting death of a her husband.

The shooting occurred in the 5300 block of Brookhollow Drive around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 23.

Detective Tommie Brown said Damion Reed, 33, was pronounced deceased at the scene. He said Rashaan Wallace, 30, was arrested and charged with murder.

According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, a child was inside the home at the time of the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
