JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Officials with the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS) said technical issues are causing delays at Driver Service Bureau (DSB) locations statewide.
According to officials, the DSB is “experiencing significant technical issues” at all locations due to a recent system upgrade from their vendor. All locations remain open, but the wait times are longer than usual.
The locations are scheduled to be open on Tuesday, February 25. They will be operating under regular business hours but with limited services available. The services offered will include:
- Firearm permits
- Identification cards not related to driver’s licenses
- Court required registry
If you are renewing a firearm permit, the Mississippi DPS encourages you to visit their website to download the required forms and submit your application by mail.
