JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a man was arrested in connection to a March 2024 homicide.

Detective Tommie Brown said James Harris, 30, was arrested by agents with the U.S. Marshals Service at 9:00 p.m. on Monday, March 3.

Harris was charged with murder in connection to the death of Christopher Patterson.

The shooting happened in the 3400 block of Cardinal Street on March 11, 2024. Brown said Patterson was shot multiple times at the location and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Harris appeared in court on Tuesday, March 4, and his bond was set at $1 million.
