PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – A Pearl man was sentenced for child exploitation, according to the Mississippi Attorney General’s Office.
Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced Justin Daniel Higgs was sentenced to 40 years in prison with seven years to serve day-for-day without the possibility of parole on February 25. He was also ordered to serve five years of supervised probation.
Higgs was ordered to pay $1,000 to the Mississippi Children’s Trust Fund, $1,000 to the Mississippi Crime Victim Compensation Fund and $1,000 to the Victims of Human Trafficking and Commercial Sexual Exploitation Fund. He will also have to register as a sex offender upon release.
