JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Jackson Police Department (JPD) announced the passing of Corporal Christopher Gallion, Sr.
According to Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade, Gallion died on Thursday, March 6. The police chief said Gallion suffered a medical emergency after responding to a crash.

Affectionately known as ‘Sir Gallion,’ he was a proud graduate of the ‘Mighty 43rd’ Jackson Police Department Recruit Class and a dedicated 17-year law enforcement veteran. Throughout his career, he served with honor, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to protecting and serving his community. His leadership, mentorship, and kindness touched the lives of so many, both in and out of uniform.
We love him dearly, and his presence will be deeply missed. Though his watch has ended, his legacy of service and sacrifice will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
