PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – The National Weather Service (NWS) confirmed two tornadoes touched down in Mississippi on Tuesday, March 4.
An EF-2 tornado was reported in Wayne County, and an EF-1 tornado was reported in George County.
According to the Mississippi Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), three deaths were reported (one in Clarke County and two in Madison County). Seven injuries were also reported in Madison and Wayne counties.
Statewide, counties have reported 14 homes and six farms received damage. These counties have reported damage to homes ranging from affected to destroyed:
- Clarke – 2 homes
- Harrison – 1 home
- Madison – 2 homes
- Perry – 2 homes
- Warren – 1 home
- Wayne – 6 homes, 6 farms
