JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The off-duty Jackson police officer, who was charged in connection to a domestic violence incident that led to a crash, appeared in court on Tuesday, March 25.
During the preliminary hearing, Judge Johnnie McDaniels said the bond for Jagguar Winder would remain at $1 million. His case was bound over to the Hinds County Grand Jury.
Winder was charged with two counts of aggravated domestic violence.
Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade said officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred on Buena Vista Avenue at Robinson Road just before 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12.
According to Wade, Winder apparently hit a woman’s vehicle with his personal vehicle before leaving the scene. The police chief said Winder and the woman knew each other.

The woman was hospitalized and later released. Wade said other people were also injured during the crash.
The police chief said Winder had been with the department for less than a year. Winder was placed on administrative leave. As of March 25, he was no longer employed by the Jackson Police Department (JPD).
