Trial date set for ex-Richland mayor over false payroll timesheets

RICHLAND, Miss. (WJTV) – A trial date has been set for the former mayor of Richland.

William Patrick Sullivan pled not guilty to false representations to defraud the government during his time as mayor.

According to an indictment, Sullivan submitted fraudulent payroll timesheets between April 1, 2018, and April 30, 2023, to the Rankin County Tax Assessor.

Sullivan’s trial date has been set for September 15, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. in Rankin County Circuit Court.
