JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – One person died at a Jackson hospital after a shooting on Monday, April 21, police said.

The shooting occurred in the 100 block of Sears Street. Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the unidentified victim was pronounced deceased at a local hospital.

According to Brown, there is a person of interest in the case.
