HANCOCK COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – Authorities on the Mississippi Coast seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana during a drug bust.
According to the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), the Commercial Transportation Enforcement Division, with assistance from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office, seized 205 pounds of marijuana, 560 units of THC products, six pounds of edibles, and 150 units of mushroom products on Wednesday, April 23.
Investigators said the drugs were found inside a two-axle box truck on Interstate 10 Eastbound in Hancock County.
“This seizure reflects CTED’s ongoing commitment to protecting Mississippi roadways and combating the illegal transportation of narcotics through our state,” DPS officials said.
