JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – One person was injured during a shooting in Jackson, according to Capitol police.

Bailey Martin, press secretary for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (DPS), said officers responded to a call about a shooting near Mitchell Avenue on Sunday, April 27. Capitol police discovered a person suffering from a non-life threatening injury.
