NATCHEZ, Miss. (WJTV) – Natchez police said a man was shot in the face by his stepfather.

The Natchez Democrat reported the shooting happened at a home on Liberty Road on Sunday, April 27.

According to police, Joseph Edward Letcher, 47, was charged with attempted murder after he allegedly shot his stepson following a fight at the home.

The victim was airlifted to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in Jackson. He was listed in critical condition on Monday morning.
