PEARL, Miss. (WJTV) – Pearl police said an impaired driver was arrested for hitting a child with a vehicle.
The incident occurred on Pine Circle Drive around 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3.
During their investigation, Pearl police determined that the driver, Ty’Kisalyn Towner, 22, of Forest, had been driving under the influence. Police said Towner had an outstanding warrant for her arrested, and they recovered drug paraphernalia in her possession.

Towner was charged with DUI first offense, simple assault on a minor, possession of paraphernalia and an FTA warrant.
According to police, the victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries to receive medical treatment.
