MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Police in Hernando, Mississippi said a woman was found shot dead in a house Thursday night.

The woman was identified by police as Kasey Maria Rowley, 28. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hernando officers responded at 10:30 for a welfare check call on Magnolia Ridge. They found Rowley’s body with gunshot wounds, in a back bedroom.

Hernando Police say this is an isolated incident and there was no threat to the community.
