LINCOLN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Wesson man has been charged in connection to a crash that killed a four-year-old child.

The Daily Leader reported Devin Merrill, 27, was charged with aggravated DUI resulting in death.

The crash occurred on February 18, 2025, on Bogue Chitto Road. According to investigators, the vehicle left the road and struck multiple trees. The passenger, Lincoln Carona, was transported to a Jackson hospital where he died on February 20.

After receiving Merrill’s toxicology results, he was arrested on May 17. He is being held in the Lincoln County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
