VICKSBURG, Miss. (WJTV) – The City of Vicksburg has elected a new mayor.

The unofficial results showed Willis Thompson (D) received 1,770 votes.

Incumbent Vicksburg Mayor George Flaggs, Jr., (I) received 1,709 votes, while Kasman Massey (I) received 546.
