GLUCKSDADT, Miss. (WJTV) – Gluckstadt police announced a man is facing new charges in connection to an ongoing narcotics investigation.

Following his initial arrest on May 27, police said Kendarius M. Bess was brought back before Gluckstadt Municipal Court and charged with two counts of trafficking by sale of a controlled substance in a restricted area.

According to police, the new charges are the result of continued investigative work that led to the recovery of 19,000 multi-colored pills suspected to be fentanyl.

“I want to put those who think it’s okay to come to the City of Gluckstadt and sell narcotics on notice,” said Gluckstadt Police Chief Barry Hale. “The Gluckstadt Police Department will not tolerate this, and we will go to the ends of the earth to make sure you are caught, arrested, and prosecuted to the fullest extent.”
