JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a security guard and a 16-year-old were arrested and charged in connection to the shooting death of a woman.

The shooting occurred at the corner of Siwell Road and Raymond Road just before 4:30 a.m. on June 24. Police said Deyonia McGee, 22, was shot outside an Auto Care Center, and she died from her injuries.

Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said the 16-year-old was charged with murder in connection to the case. He said the security guard, who was identified as 60-year-old Carl Miller, was charged with manslaughter.
