MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Two Mississippi pharmacists were among 324 defendants charged nationwide in what the Department of Justice calls the largest health care fraud takedown in history.
Ricky Wayne Quinn and John Anthony Null, aka “Andy Null,” both of Corinth, were charged by indictment with conspiracy to commit health care fraud.
Federal prosecutors allege they submitted false and fraudulent claims to Medicare and Medicaid for over $700,000 for prescription drugs.
According to federal prosecutors, Quinn and Null allegedly paid cash to runners who brought them legitimate prescriptions for drugs. In exchange for cash, the runners then returned the unopened drugs to be restocked so they could be billed to Medicare and Medicaid again.
The 2025 National Health Care Fraud Takedown resulted in criminal charges against 324 defendants, including 96 doctors, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, and other licensed medical professionals accused in schemes that officials say cost $14.6 billion in losses.
“This record-setting Health Care Fraud Takedown delivers justice to criminal actors who prey upon our most vulnerable citizens and steal from hardworking American taxpayers,” said Attorney General Pamela Bondi.
Quinn and Null will be prosecuted by assistant U.S. Attorneys for the Northern District of Mississippi.
