OXFORD, Miss. (WJTV) – Oxford police said a person was robbed by four suspects after arranging to meet a prostitute at a hotel.
Police responded to the hotel in the 2200 block of West Jackson Avenue after 6:00 a.m. on July 2. Investigators determined that the victim had arranged to meet a prostitute at the hotel and was robbed by multiple people.
After an investigation, officers arrested the following suspects:
- Devanta Brooks, 28, of Calhoun City
- Andi Edwards, 18, of Banner
- Shukota Herrod, 30, of Calhoun City
- Arnasia Holmes, 21, of Vardaman
The four suspects were charged with robbery, promoting prostitution, kidnapping and conspiracy.
Police said the victim was arrested on a misdemeanor charge of procuring prostitution. All five individuals were transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center.
