WILKINSON COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A Memphis man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Wilkinson County, Mississippi.

The crash occurred on Highway 24 just before 7:00 a.m. on July 18.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2015 Ramp pickup was traveling east on the highway when it collided with a 2015 Nissan Altima that was traveling west.

Troopers said the driver of the Nissan, 78-year-old James Mathena, received fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
