JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Three people were injured during a crash in Jackson after police said shots were fired at their vehicle.
The incident occurred on Interstate 220 around 5:00 p.m. on July 22.
Detective Tommie Brown, with the Jackson Police Department (JPD), said officers discovered a black Nissan Sentra overturned in a ditch. The occupants said an unidentified individual or individuals were following them and shooting at them. They believed the vehicle followed them from the Clinton Boulevard area.
Three people were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Brown said one of the victims had been shot.
