JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Federal and local law enforcement agencies at the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Jackson Field Office announced multiple arrests as part of a nationwide crackdown on violent crime.

Agents said Operation Summer Heat brought the agencies together to target gangs, fugitives and repeat offenders. The operation includes partnerships with police departments in Louisville, Starkville and Winston County. They arrested 10 individuals on July 23 for federal drug violations.

“Reporting crime data indicates in Mississippi that violent crime has decreased over the last three years. Yet, we continue to have a scourge of violent crime affecting our communities across the state,” said Special Agent in Charge Robert A. Eikhoff.

According to the FBI, authorities are searching for Quinton McWilliams in connection to the operation. He’s wanted for drug conspiracy, money laundering conspiracy and felon in possession of a firearm.

FBI officials said McWilliams is wanted for his alleged involvement in the drug trafficking of methamphetamine and fentanyl from January 2021 through June 2025. A federal arrest warrant was issued for him on June 12, 2025.

Investigators said McWilliams has ties to Louisville, Mississippi, and Phoenix, Arizona. He is considered to be armed and dangerous.
