TYLERTOWN, Miss. (WHLT) – Walthall County deputies arrested a man in connection to a fatal shooting.

The shooting occurred on St. Paul Road in Tylertown before 2:30 a.m. on July 30.

Deputies responded to the scene and found Dustin Carr, 31, deceased from apparent gunshot wounds. They said Dequarrius Raiford, 27, was on the scene and brought in for questioning.

Raiford has been charged with murder and is being held in the Walthall County Jail. He was denied bond.
