JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police announced a 17-year-old was arrested in connection to a shooting that injured three people.

The shooting occurred in the 1300 block of Wiggins Road just before 12:15 a.m. on July 26. The three victims were treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Jackson Police Chief Joseph Wade announced that Mason Bennett, 17, was arrested in connection to the case on August 6, as well as other crimes. Bennett was charged with three counts of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting. The teen appeared in court and was denied bond.
