WARREN COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A chicken waste spill has caused both eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 to be blocked in Warren County.
Officials with the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT) said the chicken waste spilled from an 18-wheeler that was hauling it.
The closure occurred on I-20 East at the Flowers/Ceres Boulevard exit on Tuesday, August 12.
The Mississippi Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) responded to the scene. Crews are working to clear the roadway of the waste material.

Drivers are advised to avoid the area and seek an alternate route until the eastbound side of I-20 is clear.
