18-wheeler fire causes delays on I-20 in Jackson

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – An 18-wheeler fire caused traffic delays in the City of Jackson on August 18, 2025.

According to the Mississippi Department of Transportation (MDOT), the right, eastbound lane on Interstate 20 at Ellis Avenue has been blocked while crews work to clear the scene.

There’s no word on any injuries. Drivers should use caution in the area.
