AMITE COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was killed during a motorcycle crash in Amite County.

The crash occurred on Highway 584 around 6:30 p.m. on August 20, 2025.

Officials with the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) said a 2003 Honda motorcycle was traveling west on the highway when it left the road and collided with a ditch.

The driver, 61-year-old Andre Bayhi II, of Osyka, received fatal injuries and died at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by MHP.
