JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A man was arrested after a chase ended in a crash in South Jackson.

The crash occurred near the Elton Road bridge on August 21, 2025.

Pearl Police Chief Nick McLendon said the chase happened after officers spotted a vehicle driving recklessly on Interstate 20. He said the driver crashed near the Elton Road bridge and attempted to run from the scene. He was captured by officers.

No one was injured during the incident. The driver was identified as Tarasi Linson, 20, of Jackson.
