JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) responded to three fatal crashes during the 2025 Labor Day Holiday Travel Period.
The crashes, which resulted in three deaths, occurred in Bolivar, Lowndes and Marshall counties. Troopers investigated a total of 159 crashes.
MHP also issued a total of 5,152 citations, made 92 arrests for impaired driving and cited 617 drivers for occupant restraint violations.
