COPIAH COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – An 18-wheeler driver was injured after the vehicle crashed in Copiah County.

The crash occurred on Highway 27 southbound near Adams Road.

According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP), the driver was transported to a local hospital with injuries. The southbound lanes of the highway were closed while authorities responded to the scene.

Drivers are urged to use caution in the area.
