JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – A former Federal Bureau of Prisons Correctional Officer was sentenced to 15 months in prison for engaging in sexual acts with an inmate at the Federal Correctional Complex in Yazoo City.

In January 2025, Department of Justice, agents discovered that Parker M. Triplett, 25, had engaged in sexual acts with a federal prisoner. She was indicted by a federal grand jury on April 8, 2025.

Triplett pled guilty on June 25, 2025, and was taken into federal custody of the United States Marshal Service.
