MCCOMB, Miss. (WJTV) – McComb police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a gas station.

The shooting occurred at the Blue Sky gas station in the 1600 block of Delaware Avenue around 4:00 a.m. on September 26, 2025.

When officers arrived, they found the body of Rodney Terrell James, 43, on the ground with a gunshot wound to his chest.

According to police, a preliminary investigation indicated that James was involved in an altercation with another man before the shooting occurred.

Police said they’ve identified a suspect or person of interest in connection to the case.
