JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Capitol police are investigating a crash that involved multiple vehicles, including an ambulance.

The crash happened on Interstate 20 near Ellis Avenue in Jackson around 9:30 a.m. on October 7, 2025.

Bailey Martin, spokesperson for the Mississippi Department of Public Safety (MDPS), said a Chevy Tahoe collided with an AMR ambulance and a dark sedan. She said the Tahoe struck the vehicles as Capitol police and AMR were working a hit-and-run call on the median of the roadway, which damaged a white SUV.
