JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police said a man who forcibly entered a home was shot and killed.

The shooting occurred on Wooddell Drive just before 1:00 p.m. on October 27, 2025.

Jackson police said the victim, Randall Harris, 27, had been shot multiple times. He was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center (UMMC) in critical condition. Harris later died from his injuries.

According to police, Harris had forcibly entered the home and attacked a person. During the confrontation, police said Harris was shot multiple times.

The investigation is ongoing.
