Man accused of pointing weapon at father, kids in Gluckstadt

GLUCKSTADT, Miss. (WJTV) – Gluckstadt police announced a man was arrested for pointing a weapon at a man and his two children.

The incident occurred in the parking lot of Soulshine Pizza Factory.

According to police, a man driving a Ford F-150 and the complainant had been involved in an argument. During the incident, police said the suspect pointed a weapon equipped with a light and laser at the complainant and his two children as they were walking in the parking lot.

Police were able to obtain surveillance video and the tag number for the suspect’s vehicle. They said the vehicle was later located on Church Street near U.S. Highway 51.

During the traffic stop, police arrested Charles Edward Burrage, 47. He was charged with three counts of simple assault – attempt by physical menace to put another in fear of imminent serious bodily harm by pointing and aiming a firearm.

Burrage was booked in to the Madison County Detention Center on October 28, 2025.
