JSU holds grand opening for Institute for Social Justice and Race Relations

JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson State University held the grand opening of its Institute for Social Justice and Race Relations.

The objectives of the institute include increasing student involvement in critical social justice and race relations issues and overcoming cultural and racial barriers. The creators of the institute said they want to make a difference nation wide.

Institute directors said they want students to walk away with leadership and organizing skills to provide a positive social change in their communities.
