JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Leaders with the City of Jackson announced two cooling centers will be open through the weekend due to the extremely hot temperatures.
Officials said the centers will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Friday through Sunday. They said capacity will be limited and masks will be required.
The following centers will be open:
- Smith Robertson – 505 John Hart St. (Capacity 150 people)
- Tougaloo Center- 318 Vine St. – (Capacity 75 people)
