CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – A chase from Clinton ended in Warren County on Thursday, April 14, 2022.
Vicksburg Daily News (VDN) reported Clinton police pursued a stolen vehicle on Interstate 20 to Warren County.
The chase ended around 1:00 p.m. on I-20 westbound.
Officers from the Clinton Police Department (CPD) identified the suspect as 23-year-old Tori McWilliams, from Jackson.
According to reports, CPD tried to pull McWilliams over for a traffic violation on Interstate 55. He did not pull over and a pursuit occurred.
McWilliams hit an 18-wheeler and then wrecked into a Warren County deputy car. The Warren County Deputy is considered to be okay and is being examined.
VBN reported the suspect was checked by medical personnel for injuries.
McWilliams is being charged by the CPD with Petty Larceny, Traffic Offenses and Felony Eluding.
The vehicle driven by McWilliams had a stolen tag.
