JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Jackson police are investigating the shooting death of a 15-year-old boy.

Officers found the teen’s body on Agape Drive on Wednesday, March 15.

Jackson police said the suspects where in a vehicle when the teen was shot.

Hinds County Coroner Sharon Grisham-Stewart identified the victim as 15-year-old Caden Chapman. He was a student at Lanier High School.

“Caden was a sweet child. He did whatever you asked him to do,” said Kidada Brown, Chapman’s teacher and the Hinds County District 1 Election Commissioner. “You couldn’t ask for a better student.”
