JACKSON, Miss. (WJTV) – Due to the severe storms overnight, trash pickup in the City of Jackson will be delayed on Monday, June 26.

City leaders said the strong winds caused a temporary power outage at the Waste Management transfer station. This has prevented the transfer of trash collections.

Crews are working to restore power, and Richard’s Disposal will resume service as soon as possible.
