MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Kayla Crawford’s husband was taken into custody in Mobile County Monday morning, according to the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office.

George County Investigators questioned McIntosh for two hours before he was questioned by the media. McIntosh refused to answer media questions.

“This is the fruits of the investigation, and hopefully the ending of this case until we go to trial,” George County Sherriff Kieth Havard said. “After the discovery of the remains, and the investigation further, it just started to snowball him in.”

MCSO said a citizen spotted McIntosh at Hardee’s on Grand Bay Wilmer Road at 8:22 Monday morning. The citizen called MCSO. Deputies responded to the restaurant and arrested him “without incident.”

The George County Sheriff’s Department obtained a first-degree murder warrant for Jacob McIntosh on Friday. Crawford’s family said on Friday that Crawford is dead.

MCSO said they recognized McIntosh’s face and the black Harley Davidson motorcycle he was on after seeing his face and the vehicle on the news.

“He does have ties to this area. As a matter of fact, I do know that her family does reside here in Mobile County,” MCSO Captain Terri Hall said.

Havard said investigators know a possible motive, but due to the investigation, those facts are under lock and key.

“There’s going to be things we want to ask him before we disclose our information,” Havard said.

Havard said McIntosh and Crawford did have children, including a set of twins.

McIntosh is being held in the Mobile County Metro Jail until he is extradited back to George County.
