HINDS COUNTY, Miss. (WJTV) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a crash that killed one person in Hinds County.

Troopers said the crash happened on Interstate 20 West near Edwards just before 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 1. The crash involved two vehicles, including and 18-wheeler.

Troopers said the 18-wheeler, driven by 35-year-old Quinton Lane, of Texas, was traveling west on I-20 when it collided with an unoccupied Acura TLX that was parked on the westbound shoulder. Lane died at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by MHP.
